You’ve seen them at the mall, at Ulta and even at the airport, Benefit Cosmetics is everywhere you need a quick fix product and that’s exactly the principle that the company was founded on. Jean and Jane Ford moved to San Francisco from Indiana in 1976 and started a beauty boutique named “The Face Place” in the Mission District. True to their San Francisco roots, Benefit’s first product was created for exotic dancers in need of a skin-colored tint – wowza. Here are the top 5 Benefit products today:

MY FIVE FAVORITE PRODUCTS:
Yes, Benefit is known for their brows and we will get to that, but the Hoola bronzer is in a league of its own. It is consistently named one of the best beauty products by magazines and in 2018 it was the #1 best-selling bronzer in the United States. The color is universally flattering for all skin tones which is pretty hard to swing. Sorcery.
It wouldn’t be a Benefit post without a brow product and while there are so many to choose from, I love the Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil, because well – it’s just that – “goof proof” the color range for Benefit’s brow products is exceptional. No more light, medium, and dark shades here, instead there are full (& half) numbers!
Remember when I went to Paris and my luggage was lost for two weeks – yup that was fun. I went to Sephora and bought just the essentials and that was the first time that I tried the Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation. I’m not a huge fan of heavy foundations so something with SPF that is light/medium coverage was exactly what I was looking for. I was perfectly matched to the ‘Warm Me Up’ Toasted Beige and have repurchased ever since!
The Dandelion Twinkle Highlighter is a nude pink shade which made me nervous for a highlight because of my Olive skin, but surprisingly – it works and I kinda love it. I use a delicate brush to sweep the color across the top of my cheekbones and I love the glow that it gives me, even for daily use. You can certainly layer for a strobing effect if that’s more your cup of tea, but for me, this Goldilocks recipe is justttt’ right.
I normally wouldn’t put two foundations in a post, but this one needed a spot of its own. I absolutely love the Hello Flawless Powder Foundation because it’s so easy to swipe over certain areas for a heavier finish, without having to weigh down your entire face. I love swiping this over my concealer under my eye area for an all-day finish.
Benefit is always coming out with new products and collaborations to stay ahead of the game. They are slaying with the “Bomb Ass Brows” kit by Desi Perkins and their skincare line is making waves in the beauty space.
